Throughout the year Emunah strives to have diverse campaigns and events. These events not only educate participants about Emunah, but they are our primary fundraising tool. These include large scale events like Family in Israel or Emunah Shabbat, as well as smaller scale campaigns like Me'N u and Purim cards.
The annual Family-In-Israel dinner honors all who participate in the Family in Israel program. On Thursday May 26th 2011, we held our annual Family in Israel Dinner. This years' honourees were
Hannah Schusheim-Beigel z"l and Family,
Murray and Evelyn Hoffman and Family and
Belle Rosenfield z"l and Jerry and Bea Rosenfield. Our Guest Speaker was Hillel Neuer. Executive Director of UN Watch.
Our dinner was a tremendous success and thanks to the amazing work by our co-chairs Aryella Weisz and Alina Mayer, and the entire dinner commitee.
Emunah Shabbat is a Toronto city wide learning program which takes place annually in June on a Shabbat afternoon. Synagogues throughout the city participate in this program that consists of a dynamic speaker dealing with interesting and diverse topics which is followed by a delicious seudah shlishit. This years Family in Israel will take place on June 18th. Please contact the office for more information.
Our Emunah Tea is quickly becoming an eagerly anticipated yearly event. Towards the end of summer or in early fall, we invite you to sample some of the most delicious baked goods around. In addition we have a bake sale, a raffle and a wide array of some fantastic vendors.
In the past year Emunah Toronto also has had a varity of activities includeing: a city wide Trivia Night, Chapter book reviews, Moroccan & Persian cooking classes, Tu B'shvat programs and more.
In lieu of sending Mishloach Manot an Emunah Purim Card can be sent which will inform the receiver that a donation has been made in their honor to an Emunah Canada project in Israel.
